LG Electronics has set some high goals for its mobile business this year. The South Korea based company, currently the world’s third largest cell phone maker, wants to climb up to one of the top 2 positions within 2 years by achieving a double-digit market share in the global smartphone market. On the road to this target, LG plans to ship 140 million handsets worldwide by the end of 2010, which will be 20 percent up from last year’s figure.
