Adobe: More than Half of Smartphones to Support Flash by 2012

In spite of the lack of support from Apple , Adobe has recently made a claim that their popular Flash Player will see continuous growth in the next couple of years. More than 53 percent of the smartphones to be shipped by the end of 2012 will carry Flash support, meaning over 250 million non-feature phones will be Flash-capable, according to Anup Murarka, Adobe’s director of technical marketing. For comparison, industry analysts expect 200 million smartphones to be sold in the current year and about 10 percent of which will be able to run Flash.
