I picked up a pair of JLab’s J3 in-ear earphones over a week ago and after letting them “burn-in” I have come to the conclusion that I’m not an earbud kind of guy. First off let me say that the sound quality for these headphones is surprisingly good.  I’ve never used the earbud type of headphones before but the range of sound these things produce is on par with my $60 headset I use with my PC.  People complain about too much volume on the high end and not enough bass but I haven’t had that problem at all…and I play bass in a band.  It equals out very well and you’ll hear things in songs you never knew where there

When you have a family, you constantly have to deal with differing sleep schedules. Toddle_o_Geek goes to bed by 8 PM, Wife_o_Geek passes out by 10 PM and I like to stay up till whenever. Today I have a look at a pair of earbuds from Hifiman/Head Direct . The previous Head-Direct RE-series in-ears look pretty much the same with only a few minor trim pieces to differentiate them, this has changed with the RE0s. The RE0s feature an aluminum casing which looks radically different coming from the all-plastic RE1s and RE2s.
