Apple App Store Categories Missing !

The Apple App Store refuses to show categories on the iPod / iPhone. When I tried to open the category pane , it just showed an blank area with no info. At first I thought it must be some connectivity issue or something wrong with my device

Opera Mini for iPhone at CTIA 2010

Opera Software announced the Opera Mini iPhone App at MWC 2010 .The CTIA Wireless Show is happening next week in Las Vegas , USA and Opera Software will allow video recording and photography of Opera Mini for iPhone for the first time ever ! We tried really hard during MWC  to get permission from them to take just one photograph of the app running on the iPhone but we weren’t lucky as CTIA attendees who get a chance to not only photograph the app running on the iPhone but also take videos. The iPhone app is extension of the Opera Mini application which is available on a variety of platforms including Google Android

Microsoft Bing iPhone App reaches 1 million downloads , new version released

The popular Microsoft Bing iPhone App has crossed 1 million downloads on the Apple App store according to a posting by Florian Voss on  the official Bing community A new updated version of the app is also available from the App Store for Free. Way to go Microsoft ! Features in the new version of the  app Bookmarks and improved web browsing :  you can now bookmark maps, directions, web sites, businesses, search terms, even the weather report, and get to the bookmarks right from the Bing home page

ELSE Mobile – Something totally different from the crowd

iPhone 3.1.3 Firmware Out

All you iPhone/iPod touch guys, a new firmware iPhone OS 3.1.3 is now out. However this release is just a maintenance release I guess, with just bug fixes and patching security holes with no new features added to it. But it is highly recommended to upgrade to this version for security issues

Earlier, we had brought to you news about the Sony Ericsson QWERTY Windows Mobile phone with design similar to Nokia’s E61, E71 and E72 smartphones. Nokia cuts prices of phones after a good quarter

Nokia might have just started the price war again. After posting some impressive numbers in Q4 , Nokia has cut prices of its phones upto 10% according to reports. Reuters is indicating that the price cut was initiated in late Jan this year.  Nokia is taking on Samsung and Sony Ericsson in the smartphone game.
