iPhone 3.1.3 Firmware Out

All you iPhone/iPod touch guys, a new firmware iPhone OS 3.1.3 is now out. However this release is just a maintenance release I guess, with just bug fixes and patching security holes with no new features added to it. But it is highly recommended to upgrade to this version for security issues

Nokia cuts prices of phones after a good quarter

Nokia might have just started the price war again. After posting some impressive numbers in Q4 , Nokia has cut prices of its phones upto 10% according to reports. Reuters is indicating that the price cut was initiated in late Jan this year.  Nokia is taking on Samsung and Sony Ericsson in the smartphone game.

Samsung App Store Extends its App Store to Brazil and China

After its launch of App Store in UK, France and Italy last September and Germany and Singapore thereafter, Samsung Mobiles is now planning to extend its App Store to all its handset users in Brazil and China by Jan end or Early Feb 2010. All the people who are using Samsung Omnia II (I8000) and OmniaLITE (B7300, I329) devices will now be able to download apps ranging from various genres like games, social networking apps and e-books etc directly onto their handsets, Samsung said in a statement. Samsung further added that it plans to further expand it to the users of 50 various countries ( hopefully India as well) by the end of this year.
